This really should be illegal. Really they should not even be able to issue bonds. "or just devalue the currency by selling to the central bank as a last resort."

I wrote about this over three years ago and looked like a total nutcase. Now it’s enshrined in federal law.

Counterfeiting currency is illegal for you and I. I never understood why they got a pass.
